Casa Del Lobo

Casa Del Lobo is a specialty coffee shop and design destination in the heart of La Jolla Shores, bringing together great coffee, Mexican ceramics, and a love of beautiful spaces.

The idea for Casa Del Lobo grew out of Christine and Saul's time living in Mexico City, where Saul is originally from. They fell in love with the incredible ceramics found throughout Mexico, from the shops and markets of Mexico City to the workshops of Tecate and Guadalajara. After moving to San Diego, they found themselves searching for those same large scale planters, beautiful glazes, and one of a kind pieces they had grown accustomed to seeing in Mexico. When they couldn't find them, the idea for Casa Del Lobo began.

What started with ceramics soon grew into something more. Inspired by the cafés, design, and hospitality they loved in Mexico, Casa Del Lobo became a place where coffee, craft, and community could live under one roof. Our collection celebrates handcrafted ceramics made in Mexico, with an emphasis on large format planters and specialty glazes, while our coffee bar brings that same attention to detail to specialty coffee, seasonal drinks, and housemade flavors.

Casa Del Lobo means "House of the Wolf" in Spanish, a name inspired by Christine and Saul's dog, whose distinctly wolf-like appearance became the inspiration for both our name and wolf mark.

At its heart, Casa Del Lobo is a meeting point between Mexico and California, craft and coffee, design and community. A place to grab your morning coffee, find something special for your home, or simply stay awhile.

Bienvenidos a Casa Del Lobo.
